It was a fast paced thrill that never ended. Not once was there a pause to relax or take a glance at the surroundings. Just let the adrenaline flow and let your senses take over. A small streak of flesh and clothing moved through the woods at an above average speed.
Run. Run and dance. Dance and let both the music and thump of your heart take over. Everything about Bree-lyn chanted the rythme that she had taken since she was young. It was a great way to relieve any stress or worries she had. 3 miles of pure running had been her previous record and now she was striving to push past. Blonde hair was tied back into a long swaying ponytail. Thick red and black chunks of her hair stayed in perfect position among her many blonde hairs.
Eyes the color of both storm clouds and pure ocean waters peered into the green foliage of the forest surrounding Forks. Maybe if she kept running she would make it to the reservation.
Another mile before La Push and she decided to relax her burning lungs by jogging lightly back around. The path had been left behind and it was pure exploration now. Although the seventeen year old had lived in Forks for three years, lots of things were still new...Like this forest for example. Anything could happen.
Her black sports bra was slightly covered by her red and black jogging outfit she wore. The jacket was slightly baggy but didn't cause any sort of drag on her.
Bree-lyn panted softly and removed one ear-bud that was blasting music from her iPod so she could listen to the forest. Her well toned form moved about slowly now, it was almost sluggish compared to the running.
"...I wish I could go forever." She murmured as she looked around at the treetops and the rest of her running grounds.

Alex's head came up suddenly, the large chocolate brown muzzle tossed into the air as he inhaled, gathering the new scent toward him. He had been just out, running around in the La Push forest, when he smelled a woman. She was human - thankfully - and running. That's all he could tell. He stayed out of sight before changing back, pulling on a pair of blue jeans he brought with him. Forget the shirt. There was no point in that anyway.
Stepping out of the trees, into a clearing, Alex stuck his hand in his pockets and walked. He knew that going this way would eventually cross her path. He liked meeing new people, so, hopefully, she was friendly enough.
Dark eyes watched and waited as he pondered over his newest hobby. He didn't always like meeting new people. He attributed this sudden like for the fact that he didn't wanna fight. He didn't want to start tearing out throats and trying to kill people - or vampires. He'd rather just be able to run around in wolf form and live his life his way. Oh well. He was grateful for the appearance of the pale beings in one way: this let him become a wolf, after all.
Not long now. he thought, watching for the girl.

Bree manuvered her way carefully around fallen logs and rocks. When she was running the objects were smoothly dodged, but now they were taken with time as she relaxed. The adrenaline still humed in her veins, raising her body temperature and heart rate. Looking at the ground she recognized paw prints among hooves and other such animals tracks. It was fun learning them with her dad but now it was habit to be able to pick out the different species.
Piercing stormy eyes glanced up in time to notice the well built teenage boy standing in the forest. He was watching her she realized with a start. It wasn't often she encountered anyone in the great forests between La Push and Forks so this was a big surprise. She ignored the bead of sweat trickling down her cheek and admired the form of the male.
Shirt off and only pants? Had to have been working out as well. He had to have been from the reservation though, he didn't look like he came from Forks. She knew most of the people there, it was a small town and she would've at least seen him once. And it wasn't like she ever attended any parties down at La Push yet, so she wouldn't know them.
"Hey...Not many people come all the way out here." Bree smiled and finally wiped her face somewhat as well as pushing a few stray bangs away.

Alex smiled at the girl as she came closer, laughing softly at her first words. If she only knew. He watched her push her bangs away, and took in her appearance real quick, more out of habit than anything else.
"Hello," he replied, offering her a hand. "I'm Alex. And you're right. Most people don't come out here," he said, amusement trickling over his features. "You live in Forks right? I'm from La Push." He wasn't sure why he was so forthcoming with the information; he was blaming this on his sudden interest in new people as well. A mental frown accompanied this, knowing that once he started getting used to it, it wasn't going to fly as an excuse. Oh well. He'd figure it out.

The sounds of the forest still echoed around the two of them, but they remained ignorant of any animals scurring around. It wasn't as if she was in any danger from the forest...not that she knew of though. With the tall guy in front of her, she figured she was safe. It was just that kind of aura and personality he gave off that radiated protection. She gave him a bright smile as she calmed her fast-pace heart rate and her hyped up breathing. Once that was complete she took his large hand in her own small one.
"I'm Bree-lyn, you can call me Bree." Said girl rubbed at her cheek sheepishly, "Yeah I do, and I sort of guessed as much. I hadn't heard of any new students in Forks...So why are you all the way out here? I was running." She shrugged red clad shoulder and unzipped her jacket to the bottom few links so she could shove her hands in the pockets while cooling off slowly from the exessive heat of exercise.

Alexander barely noticed the animals. None of them were in any pain, and they weren't running from anything that had the potential to hurt them, so he didn't care. Not only that, he was pretty sure he could take on whatever came their way, protecting the girl in the process. He was mildly concerned with what would happen if she found out what he was, but... oh well. Either she'd get over it or she'd be okay with it. Then again, he was thinking too far ahead.
He smiled as she took his hand, and then he let go, listening to her talk. She seemed like a good person, and he liked that. He gestured at the area around him.
"I like being out in the woods. It's a nice place to take some time and relax," he said, though a grin broke his features next. "I was running a bit too." It was almost an inside joke, due to his species, but the tone he said it in was sure to make her laugh, at least a little bit. He sounded almost sheepish, like he had been caught doing something he didn't mean to do.
"Walk with me?"

"The woods are the best place to relax. Here and the beach." She chuckled a bit and put her hand he shook back into the pocket on her red jogging sweater. "Running is like the ultimate high..." Her stormy eyes watched for any reaction he might have to her words, it was an easier way to make friends if you could figure out what excited the other person.
Bree responded with a simple "Sure," at his request befoe she began to back track her path through the forest. She took a slight curve so she wouldn't be heading home, but to not towards La Push either. It was a simple wandering through the forest and she could always find her way home with a couple of trail markers around the area later on.
"Do you come out here often?"

Alexander's eyes immeidately softened, to an almost longing look, when she said that running was the ultimate high. He absolutely had to agree with her. He followed her as she walked, knowing where they were at all times. It wouldn't be hard to get them back, even if they did get lost.
"Actually, I do," he said, replying to her question with another grin. "Just like you said, it's the best place to relax. I run around here when things get too much for me to handle around home." It wasn't exactly a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth either. It wasn't like his home life was bad, but whenever he needed to cool off from something with the pack, he ran. He came here and he just took off, knowing that it was hard for people to find him anyway.
"What about you? You brave it out here all alone a lot?"

Bree's long ponytail swished as she walked and as she tilted her head up to look at Alex's face. He was a lot taller than her, she could almost call him a gentle giant. The thought brought a chuckle from her, thankfully right after he had spoken first. It wasn't surprising that someone else also ran to get away from stressful things. She was a track star and knew a couple others like her.
"Me? ...Yeah I do. It's more fun to run in the forest than it is on a track and easier than running the beach. But I wouldn't say I'm all alone, I mean there is the animals and my music."
She turned her eyes to their surroundings, ducking a branch on her path and grinning as Alex was forced to move over so he wouldn't be hit by the tree. Ah, the advantages of being small. On occasion she looked to the ground to scout out where the fallen branches and grown out roots were so she wouldn't trip herself.
"It's not like I've seen all of this." Her arm extended to indicate the outlying woods and than returned to her sweater, "But I've seen enough to get around. I would love if I could run and have someone be able to keep up with me or even push me past my limits."
A wistful look overtook her friendly expression and she grinned at her new friend. If she hadn't already exerted herself for the day, she would've challenged him. But seeing as she didn't want to kill herself early...

Alex listened and swiftly, easily, moved to the side, avoiding the branch. He smiled at her, nodding his agreement.
"There's a lot more out here than people ever get to see. People tend to stay on the trail and close to the edge of the forest so that they can remain safe. They don't realize that there's so much more out here..." he trailed off, grinning over at her as she talked about someone who could keep up with her.
"I have an idea. How about next time, I'll meet you at the entrance from Forks, and I'll run with you. I'm pretty sure I could keep up with you," he said. His voice was only a little cocky, mostly just positive. He liked the idea of being able to run with someone too. "Deal?"

The teenage girl nodded her head in agreement, it was suggested by a lot of people to stay on the path, but after living here for so long you had to get curious on what was out here. It was beautiful and she never got tired of the ever changing place. She grinned up at him after switching a song on her iPod to a new one.
"Deal. I'll be here tomorrow after school actually. I come everyday unless it rains or something." She smirked slightly and with a slight nudge to his massive form, "Are you sure you will be up to running with me?" It was a small tease since most high school students were drained after a long day at school in the middle of the week. But he honestly looked older than being in high school.
"...Are you even in high school for that matter?" A delicate eyebrow rose up in a perfect arch with her question. He just seemed way too big and appeared older than she would've guessed. At least in his twenties.

"I'm seventeen," Alex said, laughing softly. He watched her and nodded. "I really am. I'm just tall for my age," he said. He then nudged her back, his warm elbow brushing her arm. "And I'm positive I'd be able to keep up with you. Question is, can you keep up with me?"
His dark eyes were glittering in amusement, as though he was trying not to burst out laughing. Of course, he wasn't exactly sure how the next day was going to go, but he was pretty sure he'd be okay, for the most part, if she got to hang out with him more.

Bree made a small noise of releasing air out of her mouth in a quiet "Pfft" as he questioned the capabilities of the track star. If only she knew the power of the guy beside her, she just saw him as a really really big above average 17 year old.
"I'm sure I can keep up..."
She covered a soft yawn and reached her arms in front of her. With a laugh she began to run slowly in a straight path over th stick-and-leaves ground of the forest. It wasn't a race, just a way to have fun besides listening to music on her own.
"Let's run!"

Alexander laughed as she let out the noise and shook his head, not in denial of her claim that she could keep up, but just at how amusing the situation was. He watched her run, and grinned, stretching out his legs before bounding agilely after her. He caught up to her relatively quickly, and then continued to jog next to her. "Alright."

She chuckled and continued running at a moderate pace, barely even touching her limits. "So you're not all talk." A grin flashed up to him before she set her eyes in front again. Her feet barely touched the ground, barely cracking the leaves and twigs below her as she moved along.
Her small form dodged through the large tree trunks, over fallen logs and under low branchs. She remained next to her newest running friend who was keeping up very well. "...So I know you like running, and you're good at it. Are you going to make me play 20 questions, or will you tell me some more about yourself?"
